Laurel earned a dual B.A. in Anthropology and Religion from Boston University. She also holds a certificate from the Boston University Culinary Arts Program founded by Julia Child and Jacques Pepin.
She lives and works in central Minnesota, and spends her free time spoiling her elderly cat and going to rock concerts with her partner.
